DOWN TO EARTH

Earth Month and the ripple effect of change.

April is officially Earth Month—a global movement to celebrate our small blue planet and how to help it flourish vs. decline.

As Tofino pioneers since the 70s, we’re beyond committed to sustainable practices and programs that help preserve the eco-balance of this incredible destination. Guided by our team member and Eco-Ambassador, Meg Whyte, we work hard on eco-focussed initiatives in and around the Resort. And with Cox Bay as our “front yard,” we are particularly proud of the Surfrider Foundation campaigns and initiatives we support—especially Love Your Beach Clean.

From recycling and participating in clean-up initiatives in our communities, to depositing beach garbage/debris into our Marine Debris Bin on your next visit, let's all do our part to create a ripple effect of change in the right direction.

MARCH WINNER

GUEST PHOTO CONTEST

An incredible winning, Cox Bay perspective by Chris Perrin! We're not sure if the guy striking a pose on the rock is taking his own shot or pretend surfing... we do know Chris has captured that awesome moment when the outgoing tide collides with incoming surf. Wow!

Monthly Photo Contest winners enjoy a 2-night stay and more.

RESORT TEAM SPOTLIGHT

OCEAN AIDAN

As a Vancouver Islander from the North Cowichan/Duncan area, our Five Star Employee of the Month—Aidan Pacholuk—has grown up on ocean sports. From spearfishing and free diving, to a new passion for surfing in Tofino, Aidan calls the ocean his “place of peace.” Similarly, as a hardworking Houseman, he sure provides a lot of peace for guests; always getting the job done with an easy-going smile. Great work Aidan!
